| It's actually a 3.5 out of 5 stars.... | |
| | This latest offering from Robin Thicke will take a couple of listens to really get into the tunes. Unlike his first release, "The Evolution of Robin Thicke" which grabs you by the feet and the hips and forces you to dance, "Something Else" will grow on you.
"Something Else" takes you back to a soulful 70's sound. It's smooth right from the top with 'You're My Baby' and continues with tracks like 'Ms. Harmony' and the title track 'Something Else'. 'Loverman' is also quite nice.
My favourite tracks are 'Sidestep' which is funky and got me moving along with 'Magic'. Definitely a seventies throwback!
So if you're looking for killer tracks, you may not find it on his sophomore release, but unlike the previous reviewer....it's worth a listen.
| | | I was really disappointed in this CD. Sounds like a girl. Very boring and blan.
