| "Enjoyable" and "Familiar" in a good way. | |
|  | It's a given that there's going to be some people that will look at this musician's name and think "who?" However, there will be a huge number that will recognize him as an integral part of the super-group Fleetwood Mac. He was also at one time, and for quite some time at that, Stevie Nick's boyfriend. Of course, Fleetwood Mac was huge with a capital H. The "Rumours" album alone has sold over 30 million copies and follow-up albums have topped the 7 million plus mark collectively. Lindsey had released 2 solo albums while still a member of Fleetwood Mac and scored a couple of Top 40 hits, with "Trouble" and "Go Insane". He finally left Fleetwood Mac in 1987. Since that time, this is his third album released.
For all intents and purposes this CD sounds like a Fleetwood Mac album, and there's good reason for that; former band-members Mick Fleetwood and John McVie play on some of the songs, which were recorded over ten years ago and were actually performed live at Fleetwood Mac concerts. "The Right Time To Fade" and "Gift of Screws" are like blasts from the past, F Mac style, and "Wait For You" is a real treat. To be honest though, the best cuts are the newer ones that Lindsey wrote and recorded, either alone or with his wife Kristen. "Did You Miss Me" sounds a lot like a Gordie Sampson song and "Treason" echoes Neil Young in his early folk days.
With a new Fleetwood Mac album in the works, fans can officially get excited. However, given how long the recording process can take nowadays, this is your best bet. By the way, if you've ever seen the Chevy Chase movie "National Lampoon's Vacation", you'll no doubt remember the song "Holiday Road"..that's Lindsey Buckingham. Remember the name.

| | Bought this album about a month ago and got to see Lindsey perform the album this week. Lindsey has returned to the quality of recording which he put out with Fleetwood Mac.Outstanding tracks include Great Day, Did You Miss Me, Love Runs Deeper, Underground and Treason. Love Runs Deeper has an infectious sound to it and Treason is an anthem for today's times.Any Fleetwood Mac fan will not regret buying this album.
