|  | I have no idea about the "hit show" Workout or who Jackie Warner is, but what I do know is this workout DVD is GREAT! It consists of three individual 20min workouts, one for lower body, one for upper body, and the last is for core. You can customize your workout by just doing one or adding one or two of the others, depending on your energy level.
The workouts are TOUGH (I couldn't walk very well the day after the lower body portion). But Jackie shows how to modify for beginners, as well as, adding extra to maximize your workout. The studio looks pleasant, and Jackie is motivating and personable. Her helpers are apparently some of her trainers at her "famous" gym, and they all definitely add their own personality to make the DVD more interesting too.
Each 20min workout mixes up 1 to 3 different exercises followed by 1 to 2 min of cardio, which repeats (with different exercises, you only do the same exercise for 1min once, which keeps the whole program fresh IMO) about four times (one new set per trainer).
| |  | I am a fan of Jackie's show 'The Workout' and was somewhat hesitant to purchase a DVD by a celebrity, as I have been disappointed in the past. However, besides being a celebrity, she also has a track record of getting people into shape fast, so I bit the bullet and bought the DVD. It is now one, if not my my very favorite exercise DVD. Those days I know I will be doing it, I look forward to exercising more then I usually do! It is easy to follow, but still very challenging and I love that it is broken up into three different sections: upper body; lower body; and core exercises. The core exercise section is a killer! I usually do all three, but on a busy day, will do upper body and the core exercises, as I am a runner and get quite a bit of lower body workout already. I also like the music and the flow of the DVD. Every time I do the DVD, I find that I hear or pay attention to another tip that Jackie gives for perfect form while doing an exercise. She also has her trainers doing the exercise, while she often will point out perfect form, etc. This is an excellent exercise DVD and really should be a part of one's exercise DVD library, if you are serious about getting into shape! I look forward to more DVD's from Jackie!
