| | Radiohead are like the Beatles of the 21st century. Because of their experimental style, you find in these albums effects, vocals, contrasts, compositions, and symphonic arrangements that simply cannot be substituted. If you are interested in music - if you have an ear for it, then what your fundamentally dealing with is sounds and songs meant to be enjoyed. Thom Yorke has an ethereal voice that can make a church organ seem limited. The instrumental work - in the greater songs - blends as immaculately as a Master painter mixing pigments. A Treasury. I can't say that every track is great - but no music artist can say they have made only masterpieces.
| | | iN RAINBOWS is currently my favorite cd. I wanted to purchase other Radiohead releases. Especially noting that much of their past material is highly rated. Also, for a band having only 7 studio albums, and yet be in the top 100 best bands of all time according to Rolling Stone magazine (at # 73 ) is quite amazing. Well, all of Radiohead's past studio releases, and including I Might Be Wrong:Live Recordings - added up to well over 100.00 without tax if bought individually. So this is a steal. And, currently this box set is listed at 71.99 US on Amazon.com. This really is a best buy!!!!!
| | | This box set is PERFECT for anyone who likes Radiohead but does not own any of their albums. You get all the albums here (not EPs) from Pablo Honey right up until Hail to the Thief. The live one is also included. For the Radiohead fans that already have all the work included here, I understand the low ratings.
| | | As far as I can tell, it's just the first 7 albums stuck in a white box. No extras, imports, outtakes? How about an advance copy of "In Rainbows"? Any Radiohead fan would already have these. I guess if you're a new fan who is just starting to build up your collection, it'd be alright. Otherwise, it's a pointless release, especially for the content and the high price.
