Editorial Reviews:
Baste the turkeysaurus and head over to Bloomingshale's for some last-minute shopping; it's Christmastime in Bedrock. Fred and the gang have more than the usual festive preparations up their prehistoric sleeves, however, as they are staging a production of "The Christmas Carol" with Fred in the role of Scrooge. Things take a frightening turn when--in the classic tradition of method acting--Fred takes his role to heart and becomes a bit humbuggish himself. So preoccupied with his role is he, that he forgets to pick up Pebbles from day care, leaves Christmas shopping off his list of things to do, and belittles the parts played by his friends (such as Barney as Bob Cratchit). When the Bedrock bug (a flu virus) begins to fell cast members, it provides the ideal opportunity for costume maker and stage manager Wilma to take on understudy duties and scare some sense into her self-absorbed husband. And just in time for Christmas Eve. God bless them, every one. (Ages 2 and older.) --Kimberly Heinrichs

A Flintstones Christmas Carol
4 out of 5 stars.
I like the Flintstones and I think this is a good animated version of a Christmas Carol and wouldn't mind having it in my Video tape collection but I would much rather have it on DVD and I hope they will put it on DVD. A stage play of A Christmas Carol is being put on in Bedrock and Fred who is playing Scrooge makes everyone crazy especially Wilma with his own Scrooge like behaviour and adding to the trouble is a virus called the Bedrock bug which fells most of the cast and has Wilma (with help from Betty and Barney) who is in charge of the play working very hard to keep the play up and going.

A Great Animated Remake of Dicken's Classic!
5 out of 5 stars.
"A Flintstone's Christmas Carol" is a great remake of the classic novel "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens, including that it is Christmas in Bedrock, Fred Flintstone who plays Ebonezer Scrooge, Wilma makes his clothes, Barney Rubble is his stooge, Bamm-Bamm is Tiny Tim, in Bedrock's X-mas play, not so far, and I give this remake of Dicken's classic 5 stars.

I liked it
4 out of 5 stars.
I have this on video and I really enjoy watching it. I think the Flintstone's version of Dicken's classic is really interesting. The "Bedrock Bug" concept is funny too. This is highly recommended. Oh, I also liked the line by Philo, the cop: "You'd better get the stars out of your eyes and watch where you're going."

Terrible
1 out of 5 stars.
This cartoon a terrible. It's too complicated and graphic for young children. The cuteness of the Flintstone cartoon is lost and the whole thing becomes a drag to watch. I hate myself.

Fred Flintstone as Scrooge "Buh Humbug"
5 out of 5 stars.
Now, I have seen Muppets playing characters of A Chrismas Carol. And now this. As A Flintstone Christmas Carol opens, Fred Flintstone has been practing his part for the play. And he is going to be Scrooge. But when somebody gets the Bedrock Bug a diease that only lasts 24 hours, his wife takes his/her place. And that she aslo replaces two women in the play when they come up with the Bedrock Bug. Wilma who works behind the senes as to go to the threater early, needs her hushband to pick up Pebbles Flintstone at day care. But he doesn't listen. And instead remembers after work that he doesn't have presents to put under the tree for Wilma and Pebbles. So he goes shooping at the last minute. But shows up at the threater without Pebbles. And his wife is mad with him. But Barney picked Pebbles up at day care when he comes for Bamn Bamn. Watch this tape!
