| Editorial Reviews: | | | | Assassin's Creed is the next-gen game developed by Ubisoft Montreal that will redefine the action genre. While other games claim to be next-gen with impressive graphics and physics, Assassin's Creed merges technology, game design, theme, and emotions into a world where you instigate chaos and become a vulnerable, yet powerful, agent of change. The setting is 1191 AD. The Third Crusade is tearing the Holy Land apart. You, Altair, intend to stop the hostilities by suppressing both sides of the conflict. You are an Assassin, a warrior shrouded in secrecy and feared for your ruthlessness. Your actions can throw your immediate environment into chaos, and your existence will shape events during this pivotal moment in history. Key Features - Be an Assassin: Master the skills, tactics, and weapons of history's deadliest and most secretive clan of warriors. Plan your attacks, strike without mercy, and fight your way to escape.
- Realistic and responsive environments: Crowds react to your moves and will either help or hinder you on your quests.
- Action with a new dimension - total freedom: Eliminate your targets wherever, whenever, and however. Stalk your prey through richly detailed, historically accurate, open-ended environments. Scale buildings, mount horses, blend in with crowds. Do whatever it takes to achieve your objectives.
- Relive the epic times of the Crusades: Assassin's Creed immerses you in the realistic and historical Holy Land of the 12th century, featuring life-like graphics, ambience, and the subtle, yet detailed nuances of a living world.
- Intense action rooted in reality: Experience heavy action blended with fluid and precise animations. Use a wide range of medieval weapons, and face your enemies in realistic swordfight duels.
- Next-gen gameplay: The proprietary engine developed from the ground up for the next-gen console allows organic game design featuring open gameplay, intuitive control scheme, realistic interaction with environment, and a fluid, yet sharp, combat mechanic.

| Interesting Concept for a Game | |
| | Prince of Persia-esque. Have not yet played the entire game out just yet so I can't make a completely informed judgement about it as of yet. From what I understand the storyline is kind of weak at the end and reminds people of being like Metal Gear Solid in that it is to be a trilogy of sorts. Im rather excited to complete it and continue in the series.
Bottom Line: Hyped up but delivers on the premise of something FRESH!
| | | This game was fun, different from all the other RPG.At least, the beginning was...A lot of thought went into this game by Ubisoft, but halfway into it,it gets very slow and freezes which can get really frustrating.Definitely worth the money paid for.
| | | I love a good deep game with a balance of good graphics, combat and story but this is not it. Combat is repetitive and just plain arduous while the tasks are just as repetitive. The set is beautiful but it's just fun and finishing the game is about as much fun as waiting for the next meal to arrive on a very long flight. Hardly rewarding.
| | Revolutionnary but not the best game for the PS3 | |
| | I expected a lot from this game according to the publicity and reviews. Graphics is the part that amazes the most; top nutch!! You have the feeling being right in the Middle Age. The story itself is very interesting. However, what reduces the quality of the game is that it is very repetitive. Also, controls are not appropriate sometimes for the task we want to execute. For those 2 negatives points, I cannot go further than 9/10 for this game. One must understand that it is a very good game even though, but Resistance remains my best game so far on my PS3.
| | | This was an amazing game with AMAZING graphics and a good story line. It was really fun to play but it dind't take all that long. Now i could spend hours just exploring and jumping roof tops but once the game is finished there's not much to do. Although the ending did suck this game is supposed to be a trilogy so we'll be getting more in the future! My opinion- rent the game first!
