| | | I have the very first NES version on my Wii and I play that alot! This is a whole new Mario and the plot is just Hilarius, not a serious game. You can get stuck on parts that can be a little tricky but who can get mad with such a cute story. They really did it this time, I am impressed. About the reading 30 minutes is a long stretch 5 minutes TOPS and i doubt that it is really 5. I find most only last a good minute maybe. Who can NOT love Mario anyone who every had the first console knows Mario and grew up playing Mario or was the first game they ever played. You truly have no soul if you do not like Mario that is sure. New game play is great, I love the switch to 3D it takes a while to get the hang of it. If you cant jump over it switch to 3D and go around it, or find a secret passage its just over all awsome. If you have a Wii you owe it to yourself to buy this game.
| | | It's suprising that Peach isn't the victim in this game, that's what I liked about it, something different. Not to mention you get to be her plus Bowser, and one other character (but I haven't gotten there yet). This game really annoyed me at some parts, so much I had to go online to figure out what to do. But I really like this game, more than the other two Paper Marios'. The use of Pixl's is neat, plus you can do a lot more with Mario in this one, other than turning into something made of paper. You can flip to 3-D! I love it, you should buy it!
| | | I was never much of a gamer until i bought this game.. i was glued to my tv for weeks on end battleing the different levels in this adventure packed game with my girlfriend. If you are a fan of the orignal mario then this is a must have for your game collection!!!! I do recommend buying the help book if you get stuck its helpful but does not give away too many secrets!

| | IGN said of the previous Paper Mario game that, if you don't like it, you have no soul. The same holds true for this one.
From the first moment, you're laughing at the silly plot. This is a game that doesn't take itself seriously--it's just there to have fun. And I have had so much fun playing it.
I don't want to spoil the plot, but the very first moment of the game is such a shocker that you will fall in love with the game right then and there.
The gameplay itself adds to the fun factor of the game. The gameplay is really, really simple--it's pretty easy to pick up the game. Despite that, there are some good puzzles and parts where you really have to think to progress. At the same time, the playful nature of the game makes you never get frustrated because how can you get frustrated at a puzzle that's so adorably cute?
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door was one of my favourite games on gamecube, and the new paper mario is even better.
