Attitude is Everything
4 out of 5 stars.
I hate football - but I love watching faith in action and seeing what God can do. We expect too little of Him sometimes and expect too much of ourselves. If you think you can, you're right - and if you think you can't, you're right. This movies shows what little people with a lot of faith can accomplish. It's entertaining, fun, inspiring - it's not Hollywood but it's far superior to most "amateur" productions. Yes it's 100% Christian, but it's more viewer friendly than most other Christian movie I've seen. I've watched Facing the Giants 4 times now, and will watch again - when my faith needs a boost, or when I'm with friends who need to be entertained and encouraged. You can't go wrong with this movie because it appeals on many levels - even if you just like watching movies about high school football and David vs Goliath plot lines.

Excellent family movie
5 out of 5 stars.
It was wonderful to watch a movie that was not only inspirational, but also uplifting and suitable for the whole family. It is a rare these days to find a decent movie, as so many are filled with violence and depravity. We need more movies like this that emphasize the positive aspects of life.

pretty moving and powerful (although very heavy handed in its Christian message) but not for everybody
4 out of 5 stars.
this movie reminded me of an ABC after school special.that's not to say
it is a horrible movie.it's actually not a bad movie.in fact,it has a
few really powerful moments.having said that, the movie is very heavy
handed in its "God can do anything" message.it feels a lot like a
church sermon, which makes sense since it was made by a church in
Albany,Georgia.the problem is,many non believers will be turned off.i'm
not sure if anyone will become a Christian because of this movie, but
you never know.i watched the making of the movie, and the filmmakers all
said their goal was to make a movie that was entertaining, and they did
succeed at that.it is entertaining.i also thought having characters
with real everyday problems that we all deal with was a good thing.that
part seemed authentic.however,i think they also made some things a bit
too simplistic.some of the stuff they showed would not likely happen to
most people,so it could be hard for some people to relate. all(or
most)of the cast and crew were from the church, and had no previous
acting experience,that i know of.from that perspective,they did a good
job with the movie.considering the actors had no experience, they didn't
do that bad.they really tried hard.i have seen much worse acting than
this from so called experienced actors.if you're a believer, you will
probably enjoy this movie.it's very family friendly, with no foul
language and minimal football violence.if you not a believer,it's a
crap shoot whether you will like this movie or not.if you don't mind a
heavy handed message, you might be OK with this one, otherwise, you might
want to avoid it.this movie does prove one thing to me.that is that
Christians can make a decent movie.before seeing this movie, any other
movie made by Christians was pure crap through and through, and the
acting was worse than abysmal.this movie gives me hope that other
Christian movies can be made at least as good or even better.for me
"Facing the Giants" is a 4/5

Simply Great
4 out of 5 stars.
At first I thought this was just another movie about another football team that's trying to make a name for itself but I was completely caught off guard to find out that this movie is in fact about a whole lot more. No movie out there talks about how to be a winner, not in just football but in life as a whole, like this movie does. There are so many success princibles in this movie that I would recommend anyone to get this movie, ASAP!!
