|  | If you buy only one...buy this one. Video and sound quality are just out of this world. It is shear joy to watch and hear them play. The songs from the opera singers (women and men) will give you goose bumps.
I also own 7 other albums of André, but "The Homecoming" is by far my favorite.
| | | Very much vintage Andre, the setting is lovely and the crowd is in tune with their favorite son.This is a must have for Andre Rieu fans.
The musical selections are great and the local flavor is very well done.
There are a lot of new arrangements and some great songs and performances that did not make it in the P.B.S cut.
The rendition of "Oh I have in my heart" (Ach ich hab in meinem herzen)is worth the price of admission. The pace of the concert is fast, upbeat and festive and the enthousiasm is catching. Very musical city, it is great to hear thousands of people sing as one with the orchestra.
I only wished the makers of the DVD would give us information about the composers and the original titles.

Almost all new pieces of music, and on top it gives a some shots
of his hometown.
definately a dvd wich one should get, asuming you like Andre Riéu's music
