| Looks like a cute game, but... | |
|  | It gets boring after a few weeks of play, since its the same repetitive "mini-games" which consists of prepping and cooking your food. At first, you'll see that its a cute game, and nothing like this has been done before, and how fun it would be to "cook" on your DS. The thing is, the game has been sitting around unplayed for over a month now because its pretty easy to beat the game, and even if you don't, you'd get bored of trying. What's missing from this game (and should probably be on the game) is a competition mode, like an Iron Chef kind of thing, to make it more exciting. It's a decent game, with really terrible music, as it plays the same annoying tune during the entire game. I might dig it up sometime and play with it, when I start to miss it. But right now I got Animal Crossing Wild World, which is a much better game, and that's probably why I play this one everyday and Cooking Mama is sitting around in storage. If the whole concept of cooking impresses you, then try Cooking Mama out...I mean the price is about $20, which isn't too bad for a video game, but it only contains 75 "mini games" which requires repetitive cooking skills to "beat" the level. So...with time it'll get boring, but its definitely cute.
