|  | Sid Meier's Civilizaion IV - Warlords is described as an "Expansion Pack" but in truth, it is really an essential pack. Not only does Warlords provide the player with a larger number of rivals, add-ons such as great generals and special buildings, Warlords also provides the user with patches to update and improve the running of Civ IV. Like all games, there are its share of problems and loading can be a bit slow, particularly if you're playing an epic game with many players. Although Civ IV & Warlords is quite the step up from Civ 3, Civ 2 still remains the "classic" in my opinion. The addition of religion is nice as well (also present in Civ Iv), but as others have said, a more multi-layered facet of religion (i.e. specialties for each religion) would have been a nice touch.
Definitely worth buying if you have Civilization IV and makes Civilization IV worth buying if you don't own it yet.
