Editorial Reviews:
On their third album, Disturbed don't as much break out of expected patterns as show their potential for doing so. Fans eager for more of the band's patented fist-thumping gruel will take satisfaction in the album's opening (and anthemic) title track, plus "I'm Alive" and "Forgiven." The band shines brightest in the record's early moments, where "Deify," "Guarded," "Just Stop," and "Stricken" demonstrate that this unit's capable of discovering a song's subtleties and crafting radio-ready choruses meant to uplift the souls of disenfranchised subdivision dwellers. The album isn't without its problems--come the halfway mark ("Sons of Plunder") vocalist David Draiman and his mates lapse into the expected, with a series of songs that are good but rarely as remarkable as those found in Act I. That said, Ten Thousand Fists ultimately reminds us that Disturbed refuse to relent in their journey toward greatness. --Jedd Beaudoin

Custom Reviews:
Disturbed's finest [late review]
5 out of 5 stars.
Do any of you remember Believe? It had melodic singing, excellent guitar work, but something was missing... the "awesomeness" from the first cd. Disturbed tries to emulate the recordings through their newest, 10,000 fists.

Let me just say, it may have a more mainstream sound, but it is clearly a highlight in today's society with no guitar solos, Disturbed shows that their lead sure can play some sick licks if he feels up to it, which shows that they aren't bad.

Sure, this album has some political material in it, but there is never so much that is an tired left-fisted throwdown like what has happened to many bands against the administrations.

5/5

I love Phil Collins music????????
5 out of 5 stars.
Something I never thought I would say but after the remake of Land of Confusion by Disturbed, this tune is simply awesome. Disturbed has once again gone far and beyond buy creating a masterpiece of an album with 10,000 fists. If you like Believe you won't be dissapointed with this. Each new album I look forward to and they keep climbing the ladder. Great tunes like Just Stop, Guarded, and the best metal tune on the album STRICKEN, My God Disturbed how can you top this tune? I can't wait for you to try, It's without a doubt my favorite song of 2006!!!
Rated - Extreme Giggidy!!!

Disturbed's best work so far!! This is what heavy metal is all about!!
5 out of 5 stars.
Disturbed released Ten Thousand Fists last fall and it's great album. Guarded, Stricken, Land of Confusion and Just Stop are great songs on the album. Disturbed's Stricken was used as the theme song for WWE NEW YEAR'S REVOLUTION. Disturbed landed #2 on the Canadian album chart and debuted at #1 on the Billboard's 200 album charts. It's not the heaviest album to debut at #1 on the Billboard charts- but it comes close. Soundgarden's Superunkown and Pantera's Far Beyond driven accomplished that.

Disturbed's Ten Thousand Fists is a powerful follow-up to Believe and let's hope that fourth album will continue to have the same success as Ten Thousand Fists.
