| | | The boys return for their second outing, and its even better than the first. Every song on AHA is catchy, and leaves you wanting more. If you are a fan of The Strokes, The Vines, The Hip, etc, you simply MUST OWN THIS CD. My pick as one of the top ten discs of 2004. BUY IT!!!

| | The follow up to Youth and Young Manhood is sure not to disappoint! KOL is still creating very catchy and witty songs with the musical talent to back it up with! These songs are very different from the songs on their debut album, but you still know that it is Kings of Leon mainly because of Caleb Followill's distinctive voice. Nothing sounds quite like it, and the guitars and drumming are bare, simple and again quite catchy (You don't have to burn your strings and fingers with solos to melt faces)! In my opinion, the highlights of this album are the songs "Soft", "Taper Jean Girl", "King of the Rodeo" and "Velvet Snow" though the rest are still top notch! The other unique thing about this album and the band are the way they sing their lyrics, sometimes the lyrics are the music (listen to "Taper Jean Girl" and "Day Old Blues"), and the words are really well thought out and subliminal! This album definitely is not an excellent album because TV/radio said so because when was the last time you heard about Kings of Leon in North America? It's excellent because my ears tell me it's excellent! If you like music I mean really take music for what it is then this is a must for your collection!
