Queen Rocks You're World
5 out of 5 stars.
For a Greatest Hits -collection, this is an excellent one. Containing all Queen-hits from 1974-1980, CD provides a lot of pure listening fun.

Casual fans make a good buy with this, but required is Greatest Hits II containing later hits by Queen, from 1982-1991. With these two you get a pretty good view for why Queen was and still is so special.

So why purchase this edition and not the older one? (Greatest Hits originally in vinyl 1981) Well, as technology develops, we get better sound with these newer CDs.
Also, this disc contains a rare singles edition of I'm In Love With My Car (from A Night At The Opera -album), not included in the original edition. It's a good song, well worth listening, to put it mildly.
And we are provided a nice sampling from Milton Bowl 1982 - live CD with Tie Your Mother Down and Under Pressure. Of course the albumversions of these songs are better (Come on, studio vs. live?), but that doesn't mean these versions are bad. For liveperformances they are, in fact, good. Queen was a very good live band.

If you are a collector (like me) of Queen-material, you just might want to add this baby to your collection as well. I did, even though I already owned the original one, twice. :o)

The liner notes are good in this package, too.

RECOMMENDED. For new Queen-fans, old Queen-fans and all music-fans.

FANTASTIC!!!
5 out of 5 stars.
This has got to be one of the best Queen CD's that has been made it is Fantastic!! to buy this CD it will probably be the best thing you have ever done. you won't regret buying it.
and that coming from a 15 year old child!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Queen II????
4 out of 5 stars.
This is a good collection but something is missing? Where are the great tracks from Queen I and Queen II? I mean the tracks "Keep Yourself Alive", "Jesus", "My Fairy King", "Father to Son", "Funny How Love Is", "The March of the Black Queen", "White Queen (As It Began)"??? There is only one track from Queen II (Seven Seas of Rhye) and no tracks from Queen I! And of course there's only two tracks from "A Night at the Opera" ("You're My Best Friend" and "Bohemian Rhapsody"). This collection is very good if you look just the quality of the songs but bad if you look what tracks have been left out!

Great CD And Comment To The Last Comment
5 out of 5 stars.
This is the original 1981 UK Version of "Greatest Hits" with an added bonus track from the "Day at The Races" LP. This is a great remaster! Best yet! As for the other comment about "Bohemian Rhapsody" not being released in the US till Waynes World..LMAO!!!!!!! That comment was obviouly done by a youngster. "Bohemian Rhapsody" was a #1 hit in 1975 on the pop charts in the USA and every Queen LP was released in the USA! The original 1981 Greatest Hits LP released in the US had the exact same cover as this accept the tracks were in a different order and was minus some of the tracks here and also included the brand new at the time single "Under Pressure" feat. David Bowie. "Bohemian Rhapsody" is the 2nd track on Side A of the original US Greatest Hits LP. There was also for a short time in the 80's a CD release of that Greatest Hits LP which is now a high collectable. The poor excuse of a Greatest Hits reissue they did in the 90s in the US was very poor and not even a reissue. Just a bad compilation. This is the correct CD to get. I feel they should though for the US fans release the US Greatest Hits as it was in 81 on CD once again!

all good
5 out of 5 stars.
This was the original UK release of Queen's greatest hits and is the best version of it. It has Queen's biggest track-Bohemian Rhapsody, the US release does not. (maybe because it was not released in the US until after the movie Waynes World, which was ages after the song was first released) Maybe if you guys didnt have to pay extra for this one you might appreciate it more.
