Whatever the case may be, this isn't your typical Christmas album. Filled with electric guitar solos, plenty of synthesized keyboards, a children's choir, and lively drumming, Christmas Eve can only be compared to one other record, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's other holiday disc, The Christmas Attic. On this CD, angelic vocal solos (on numbers such as "The Prince of Peace") are interspersed with driving instrumentals. | | Wow, I just can't say enough good things about this CD! It is absolutely fantastic.....and I'm not easy to please. Brings Christmas into this century, without leaving the last one behind. Excellent. Marvelous. Incredible.
| | | This is one of my favorite CD's, and you don't have to listen to it just at Christmas. I especially like the instrumental songs, some of the vocals aren't my favorite, but it's still great!

| | I really thought that Mannheim Steamroller was fantastic, until I heard TransSiberian Orchestra. A great deal of the music played around the holiday season that I had attributed to MS was actually TSO! I bought all the MS CD's, but could not find the music that prompted me to make the purchase (how embarrassing!).
Now with two holiday CD's, and a new Rock Opera ("Beethoven's Last Night") they cannot be beat! They are even better if you can get a chance to see them; they break into to touring groups, East and West. You never know who might make a guest appearance.
After years of grieving, it took the power of Rock and Orchestra to return my enthusiasm for the holidays. Paul O'Neill, Chris Caffrey, Mark Wood (check out his website for innovative new musical instruments!), thank you, bless you - you gave me something that cannot touched or held, but is as real and true as friendship, love and memories.

| | Unlike all of the other Christmas artist who try to copy classic Christmas songs the Trans-Siberian Orchestra completely reinvents them. Traditional songs on this CD are out into music unlike any other. The best songs are....wait all of them are good. This is a classic that will be cherished for years. I saw them in concert on December 27, 2003 and was completely blown away by their wonderful performance. Don't be fooled by these bad reviews that say that they are a washed out 80's rocked band. These guys are for real.
| | | Well all I can say is that this is the best Xmas album I ever heard. The music is increidble and the story is stunning, they have classic songs and also some original songs, and all of them are great. I would like to give all of you a very little summary of this album.
In the first two pages lies the story, you should read it first to understand better the whole album. After you read the first two pages, you can play the music and read carefully every lyric, and the reason of this is that every song in this album is a part of the story. In the booklet you can read a bit of the history before each song, so you understand better the lyrycs or the rithm of that song, and also you can feel better the feeling of the season ;)But you shoul keep tis on mind before buy it, and REMEMBER that: This album is from a band called Trans Siberian Orchestra wich is a side project of a Power Metal Band called Savatage so if you like power metal it's sure you love this piece of art BUT if you don't like power metal maybe you won't like this album 'cause they put their unique style in the whole album. Of course you don't need to be a metallian to hear this album, my mother like it and she is 52 years old.
So my final quote is: If you like power metal BUY IT, else Try Amazon's music sampler to hear song samples from this album.
